Professional Refelting Is More Than Changing the Color
Pool table cloth affects ball speed, consistency, accuracy and the overall appearance of the table. Proper installation means correct tension, clean pocket finishing and rail cloth installed for the construction of the table.
Removing the old cloth also exposes areas that normally stay hidden. That gives us an opportunity to inspect the slate, rails, cushion rubber and previous installation work before new cloth covers everything again.
Table-Specific Installation
Different tables require different attachment methods. Cloth may be stapled to an appropriate wood backing or glued where the table construction requires it. Staples are never driven into slate, and adhesive is applied in a controlled, manufacturer-appropriate manner.

Refelting Is an Ideal Time to Check Cushion Rubber
If cushion rubber is worn, hardened, damaged or producing inconsistent rebound, recovering the table is an efficient time to address it because the rail cloth is already being removed.
Planning ahead can avoid paying to remove newly installed rail cloth later just to access cushions that were already near the end of their useful life.
How Much Does Pool Table Refelting Cost?
The final price depends on table size and construction, cloth selection, table condition, travel distance and whether repairs or other service are needed.
7-foot refelting with quality intermediate cloth starts around $600.
Premium Simonis cloth, larger or specialty tables, commercial tables and additional repair work affect the final price. We prefer an accurate quote for the actual table rather than advertising a low number that does not represent the finished job.

What to Expect From New Cloth
Fresh cloth can play differently at first and will settle with normal use. Worsted cloth such as Simonis often feels especially fast when new, and minor installation or brushing marks typically become less noticeable as the cloth is played on and maintained. Keep the surface clean and dry, brush it gently, and do not pull, stretch or adjust the cloth yourself.
