A Pool Table Move Is More Than Transportation
A slate pool table is a precision game table, not ordinary furniture. Moving it correctly means taking it apart in the proper sequence, protecting the components, transporting the slate safely and rebuilding the table so it plays correctly at the new location.
Why Professional Disassembly Matters
Trying to move a slate table assembled can damage the table, the slate, the home — or the people lifting it.
A typical slate pool table can weigh hundreds of pounds. The slate is designed to be supported by the table, not carried around inside an assembled cabinet.
Lifting from rails or pockets can damage mounting points, hardware, cushion alignment and finished wood components.
Improper lifting or carrying can rack or distort a cabinet and create problems that show up later during leveling and play.
Slate alignment, seam finishing and leveling all matter. Simply putting the pieces back together is not the same as professionally installing the table.
Precision Leveling Is Part of the Installation
After a move, the table must be leveled for its new floor and location. Pool Table Masters uses machinist levels rather than relying on ordinary carpenter levels. Slate sections are adjusted individually, seams are properly finished, and the completed table is checked for consistent play.
Flooring matters too. Carpet and padding, rubber flooring, foam tiles and interlocking gym-style flooring can compress under the concentrated weight of a pool table. If the flooring continues to settle after installation, the table may require another adjustment after the surface stabilizes.
