I’m Kirk Osburne, owner and craftsman behind Pool Table Masters. My connection to pool began long before this became a business — and today that lifelong experience shapes how I approach every table I work on.
A Lifelong Connection to Pool
Growing up, we had two pool tables in our home. Some of my earliest memories are of playing with family and helping my dad recover one of those tables. I didn’t realize it then, but those experiences planted a seed that would eventually become Pool Table Masters.
Throughout the 1990s, I played competitively in both APA and BCA leagues. Marriage, raising my daughter, work and the responsibilities of adulthood eventually took me away from the game around 1998.
Years later, pool would become part of starting a new chapter in my life.
How Pool Table Masters Began
Life didn’t follow a straight line. After losing my second wife in 2021, I found myself rebuilding from the ground up. I spent the next year focused on recovery and creating a new foundation for my life. When I was ready to move forward, I returned to construction because it was what I knew.
One Old Pool Table
My boss mentioned an old pool table he’d always wanted to restore. I told him, “I think I can figure it out.” Together, we brought that table back to life.
Then Came Referrals
Friends who saw the finished table wanted theirs done. Then their friends started calling. One project naturally turned into another.
Pool Table Masters
I realized I’d found work that combined craftsmanship, problem-solving, working with my hands and my lifelong connection to billiards.
That was the beginning of Pool Table Masters — built one table, one customer and one referral at a time.

Today, Pool Table Masters specializes in professional billiards service throughout Oregon and Washington.
I’ve worked on modern home tables, commercial coin-operated tables and older tables that have been part of families for generations. Every table presents its own challenges, and figuring out how to make that particular table look and play its best is one of the things I enjoy most about the work.
Built by Someone Who Plays the Game
I don’t just work on pool tables — I play on them.
After returning to billiards, I became active in league and tournament play again. That gives me a player’s perspective when I’m working on a table. Level isn’t just a measurement on a tool. Cloth isn’t simply something that needs to look smooth. Cushions, pockets, slate, cloth and setup all affect how a table actually plays.
I want a finished table to look great, but more importantly, I want it to play right.
Craftsmanship + Player Perspective
Whether I’m installing premium cloth, correcting slate seams, leveling a table, repairing damage, moving and reinstalling a table or tightening pockets, I approach the work with the same attention to detail I’d want someone to give my own table.

Some tables have been in families for generations. Some were just purchased for a new game room. Others have spent years in a garage or basement waiting for someone to bring them back to life.
Whatever the story, I consider it a privilege when someone trusts me with their table.
